BLAKE ELECTED TO BOARD OF THE SPINAL INJURIES ASSOCIATION (SIA)
20
Oct 2007
I am really pleased to say that I have been
elected onto the board by the ordinary members of the Spinal Injuries
Association (SIA).
Paul
Smith, SIA Chief Executive, rang me last night to say that I had been
elected. There were 10 candidates and 5 places available. 8 of the
candidates were seeking re-election!
The ballot papers went out to all SIA members over the last month with the
ballot closing yesterday. The following is what I wrote in my address to
members. It sets out my priorities now that I have been elected onto the
board
Finally and most important, I would like to
thank members for the support they have placed in me. I will do my best to
live up to that support. I am really honoured to have been elected and I am
looking forward to getting out and about and delivering on my promises.
Thank you!

SCI
RESEARCH LINKS
1 Oct 2007
I am
putting together useful websites detailing research that is going on around
the world relating to Spinal Cord Injury.
There
does not seem to be one place for all this information. Am I correct with
this assumption?
If
not, please drop me an email pointing me to the website(s) concerned.
